Editorial plus horse + rider photoshoot with Hailey Frederiksen - Denver, CO
Planning this session with Hailey Frederiksen, 2022 Miss Rodeo America, was definitely a dream come true! I had ONE afternoon that I was able to do a shoot during my time in the Denver area and Hailey, who now lives in Oklahoma with her fiance, just happened to be back in her home town of Wellington, CO for the weekend to help teach a Miss Rodeo clinic. She also only had one afternoon available during her trip, but it worked out perfectly! A fun fact that we learned: Hailey's mom grew up in Vacaville, CA, my home town! Such a small world!
Hailey is sweeter than sweet! Both her and her parents are just the kindest people and we are so grateful that we had the opportunity to meet and work with them! It was so fun to be able to shoot Hailey with her sweet Buckskin gelding, Elvis Presley (or Presley for short), that she rode during her reign as Miss Rodeo at her home in Wellington. It was chilly, but at least we missed the snow storm that blew in as soon as we were done shooting.
The first and second outfit Hailey is wearing are by designer Julie Ewing.
Her hat is by Greeley Hat Works and her turquoise is by Hippie Cowgirl Couture Inc.
Both fur coats were made by The Fur Side. The darker fur was given to Hailey for winning the Miss Rodeo Colorado title and the lighter one was gifted to her for winning her Miss Rodeo America title.
It was so hard to choose which photos to include on the blog because I love them all!
