Hi there! I'm Lauren, the gal behind the lens! Photography fuels my creativity and feeds my soul. I have a deep love for light - whether it's the ethereal, golden glow of the sun, or soft natural tones - I use it to create vibrant, dreamy, artistic images. My style is all about capturing the memories that matter most to you with elegant, romantic portraits filled with genuine emotion. These timeless images are designed to be enjoyed and cherished in your home for generations.
Beyond photography, I'm a wife, mom, daughter, sister, friend, cowgirl/horse girl, farmer/rancher, business owner, friend and follower of Christ. I homeschool my three children while cheering on my three older boys as they grow into incredible young men. Through photography, I blend my passion for art with my love for storytelling, creating photos that truly celebrate life's most meaningful moments.
~ The Process ~
I. Book the date.
We will chat about your vision - each photo session is unique to you. We will discuss package options & I will answer any and all questions you have. Sessions are fully guided and all inclusive and tailored to you. All packages include a print credit to be used for professional prints, canvases and other artwork ordered directly from your private online gallery of over 30+ images.
A signed contract and retainer of $300 lock in your date. We will decide on the location and outfits and everything in between! I will even send you my Wardrobe Guide to help! I will be here every step of the way, so you can always call/text/email me with questions, ask my opinion about outfits and anything else that may come up.
II. Take photos.
The day of your session, I will arrive 15-20 minutes before our session to get to know you better before we begin, as well as to scout out locations with the best lighting. I will tell you were to stand, where to look, even where to place your hands. I ramble on about random things in what usually results in you feeling much more comfortable and relaxed in front of my camera! ;)
III. Deliver memories.
My goal is that your session feels fun and carefree with equal parts dancing and deep intensity channeling your inner model, instead of just posing in front of the camera. Within 24-48 hours after your session, I will send you a gallery link to some SNEAK PEEKS! And within 2-3 weeks you will get an email that your full gallery is ready!

Where are you located?
I am in Vacaville, California, located within Solano County. However, I travel throughout the greater Northern and Central Valley areas of California. Travel for mileage greater than 50 miles outside of the 95687 zip code do apply ($0.75/mile) + $15/hour drive time.
If you are out of state, please contact me to find out about travel fees.
When should I plan my session?
The spring, summer, and fall months are great for sessions, and can be booked 2-3 months in advance. The best time of day is 1-2 hours before sunset or within an hour after sunrise.
When will I receive my photos?
Turn around time is 2-3 weeks. However, I strive to deliver them sooner, so if I can, I absolutely will! You will receive an online gallery via email. From here, you will be able to download your high resolution images.
How do I pay for my session?
Once you schedule your session, you will receive a client portal where you will be able to access your contract and invoice. I require a $300 retainer at the time of booking to secure your date and the remaining balance is due at the time of our session together.
Most importantly, what should I wear?!
This is one of the first things I start thinking about when I think of being in front of the camera instead of behind the camera, so I totally get it! Once you book your session, I will send you an email with some links to help plan our time together.
Don't go shopping yet! You might only have to go as far as your own closet! Pull out some of your favorite pieces and maybe even some pieces that you haven’t worn in forever. Give yourself some options: bright pieces, some neutral pieces, layers, and lots of jewelry. You want to choose something that fits your YOUR style and personality. I am a fan of timeless piece over trending pieces because you will want to display your photos for years to come. I recommend searching through Pinterest to get a sense of what types of outfits you are attracted to and that photograph well. The most important thing is to feel comfortable and confident in your clothing. You may decide to use these images as décor in your home in the form of prints, wall canvas galleries, or a photo album, so this is important to keep in mind as you plan your outfits, locations, and poses.
If you feel stuck, I am happy to offer suggestions! I also have a collection of statement pieces and other accessories in my "client closet" available to borrow for your session. Sometimes it is nice to add a new accessory without having to purchase it.
What time of day and locations are best for my photos?
Golden hour sessions (1-1.5 hours before sunset) are my favorite! The only time I do not shoot portrait sessions at golden hour is if you would prefer to do a sunrise session.
After booking, I will email you a link with locations that I have used as well as a gallery of the session at those locations. Some locations are free and some have a location fee, paid to either me or the venue. If you have a location in mind but are unsure of and that I have not used before, I am happy to swing by to check it out before we decide to use it for your session. But, together we can come up with somewhere beautiful for your session.
