Liliana Gonzalez + Lupita


In early June, we captured memories and a huge accomplishment for Liliana Gonzalez of Winters, CA. Liliana graduated from the University of California, Davis with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and Management. She attended UC Davis Davis on a polo scholarship and played on the Women’s Varsity team all four years, so polo and the amazing horses that are part of the sport were an integral part of her college experience.


Liliana grew up in the polo world with both parents playing and training polo ponies. She originally met Lupita when she was playing in a middle school tournament. Liliana had rented her for the day and completely fell in love with her calm, go-with-the-flow personality. Long story short, she left that game with a win and a new pony in the trailer. Even though Liliana has outgrown the level of polo Lupita is capable of, long walks with her at sunset, looking at the beautiful mountain range, kept her sane through her college career. So it was only fitting that her senior portraits include her best friend, Lupita.
