This annual team roping holds a special place in my heart. It is the Memorial Roping for a dear friend of mine who passed away in 2020. Her laughter and love for life was infectious. She left behind so many people who loved her, and each year her loved ones host the Brea McGrew Memorial Roping in her honor. It is held in Arbuckle, CA in early June. I was able to attend to capture some photos in 2021, but unfortunately had other obligations the next couple of years. I was so excited that I was able to attend this year for a few hours. It is fun for me to do a little something different. This year my goal was to capture those little details that help tell the story. I also wanted to try some new angles and I really love what I was able to capture.
