Jeni Jo + Lauren Ann Content Retreats

We are so excited to announce that we have teamed up to host exciting collaborative weekends for equine photographers! Our goal is to provide the opportunity for participants to add variety to their portfolio, gain confidence in shooting a variety of western content while building friendships with like-minded professionals in the equine photography industry.

about the co-hosts

Jeni Brunner, the owner of Jeni Jo Photography, is based in Washington. She started her business in 2017, beginning with fashion photography and soon transitioned back into the horse world, just in a different way, with equine photography. With a background in both fashion and horses, she's found a way to combine both aspects to help horse girls feel like supermodels and even get published in fashion magazines.

Lauren Pace, the owner of Lauren Ann Photography, is based in California. She started her business at the very beginning of 2021 while homeschooling her 3 children, diving right into equine photography with a passion for fine art black background portraits. She has become highly proficient in Photoshop for editing black background portraits as well as moving into brand photography and videography as a means to further capture and tell a story.

The experience

The Jeni Jo + Lauren Ann Content Retreats are designed to create a variety of portfolio and social media content for equine photographers. You will be able to showcase horse and rider sessions, western couple horse and rider sessions, equestrian editorial styled photoshoots, fine art black backgrounds and more! You will be able to use these images as well as any video you take for any type of advertising! This three day content retreat will include three days of photoshoots with several different shoots and multiple models each day, a goodie bag, and time to edit and socialize with fellow photographers!

Photoshoots will be held in Moses Lake, Quincy, and Soap Lake on August 11-13, 2023.

This workshop is not designed for beginning photographers. You will need a working knowledge of your camera and how to shoot in manual.

GEAR: You must bring your own DSLR (full frame recommended) camera and ideally a lens 85mm or longer. Cameras/lenses will not be supplied.

Accommodations, Transportation & Food

Accommodations are not included with ticket pricing, however we encourage participants to network and coordinate with other participants in order to save costs by rooming together.

Transportation and food are not included in ticket pricing. You will need to travel to and from photoshoots. Some photo shoots will require a short hike (up and down hills and on uneven terrain). We are planning a group lunch on Saturday.

Closest airports to fly into are Spokane, Wenatchee, and Tri Cities. Hotels would be best in Moses Lake or George (more info will be posted on the Facebook group).

Please note that there will not be a formal educational segment during this weekend, however collaboration, networking and sharing your knowledge with others in highly encouraged.

PLEASE NOTE THAT TICKETS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE BUT THEY ARE TRANSFERABLE TO OTHER PHOTOGRAPHERS.
